Why AAI Supports Tunnel to Towers

On the morning of September 11, 2001, firefighter Stephen Siller had just finished his shift when he heard what happened over his scanner. He turned around, drove to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel, and found it closed to traffic. So he put on sixty pounds of gear and ran through it on foot toward the towers. He did not come home.

His family built the Tunnel to Towers Foundation to make sure that kind of sacrifice does not get carried alone. Twenty five years later, the foundation pays off mortgages for Gold Star families and the families of fallen first responders, builds mortgage free smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders, and works to end veteran homelessness across the country.

Giving back is part of how we operate

Drive For More exists because we wanted a way to do that together instead of one agency at a time. Once a year, our agents, carrier partners, and corporate team put down the day to day, get on a golf course, and turn a good day into something that matters to a cause bigger than any one of us.

This year, that cause is Tunnel to Towers

The 2026 Drive For More Charity Golf Tournament is on Friday, September 18 at Green Valley Ranch Golf Club in Denver, and every dollar raised goes to Tunnel to Towers.

The format is a four player scramble with a shotgun start, and the day is built as much around connection as competition. Alongside the round, participants can pick up mulligans, hand throws, and raffle tickets, and all of it goes to the same place.

You do not have to golf to be part of it

Our donation page is open to anyone. Agents, partners, families, friends, and neighbors. Every contribution routes directly to Tunnel to Towers, and the foundation puts the vast majority of every dollar straight into its programs.

Twenty five years later, the way we honor Stephen Siller is by taking care of the families still carrying the cost. That is what this day is for.
