Thanksgiving is a time of reflection and it's a great moment to strengthen relationships.
How to Show Your Appreciation for Your Clients Over Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving is a time to look back on all the things that have contributed to your life over the past year —personally and professionally— and be thankful. As you prepare to gather 'round a table with your closest family and friends, taking time to show your gratitude to your clients is a great idea that shows them how much you value them and help you establish stronger relationships. Here are three ways you can show your appreciation:
Send Out a Thank You Note
One of the most valuable things your agency offers its clients is the ability to get the protection they need for the best possible price. The insurance business is competitive, but your edge is that you don't sell on price but on value. Writing a note showing your appreciation for their trust in you can further solidify your relationship.
It sounds simple, but sending out a note can be very meaningful. In a time when instant messaging has robbed many relationships of close contact and communication, taking time to write a Thank You note —handwritten or not— makes a difference. You can have cards printed and sent out by regular mail or you can personalize each message if you have a smaller client base. It's a little detail that means a lot. If you want to simplify it, eCards are also an option. Not only will this give you a chance to thank them, but you'd also be letting them know you have their back.
Send Them a Small Gift
Everyone likes to be on the receiving end of a nice surprise. A gift card or a nice bottle of wine could also be a great way to show your appreciation. Of course, this is not the kind of thing you can do for every single client but it's something nice you could do for those clients that really make a difference to your independent insurance agency or those who you do business with the most.
Give Back to Your Community
Donating your time or money to charity in your community is a wonderful and thoughtful way to thank everyone for their business. Your agency has thrived this year thanks to those in your community who have had your back and love to do business with you, so it's great to show your gratitude by giving back. You could pick a charity you and your staff relate to the most or hold out a vote among your clients via email, so they are involved in that decision also.
